Zambia (my titles are so uninteresting)

Saying goodbye to the team wasn’t really very easy. I didn’t cry or anything close to that, but I did feel a sense of loss, knowing that I’d never see most of them again. Okay, most of them = 4 of them. I’ll miss them greatly, but the amazing moments we shared will be recalled with quite a significant amount of fondness :)

Up next – Zambia! I’ll be flying there tomorrow and heading to a dormitory where the Zambian trainees are staying at. I’ll be with 8 Zambians, and it’d gonna be a pretty cool cultural experience for me :) Looking forward to it!

I’m supposed to be working in a school in Kabwe with disabled children – this school is under OM, the missions organization I’m working with here in Africa. And then! What I’d initially thought was outreach is actually a missions conference that I will be attending somewhere in Tanzania, and I have no idea what I’ll be doing there…

And then I return to Kabwe, and there’s an African Leaders’ Conference there in August which I will be attending as well – not sure if I’m present as a helper like at the ILM, or as a participant…

Haha it’s quite funny, all the uncertainty! That’s about all I know about my coming month – nothing much else. Exactly what I’ll be doing, I have no idea. What kind of contact I’ll have with the world, I have no idea. What God has in store for me, I have no idea.

But I know with all my heart that it’s gonna be great :)

So please pray along with me! For God’s protection amidst all the travelling, for His assurance and comfort in times when I may feel alone or discouraged, for faith and perseverance when I’m being challenged to grow and walk closer to Him.

Eish, excitement bundled with nervousness is a queer feeling.

Okay so anyway, till next time, take care! And God bless! :)

Love,

Marianne

PS: I’ve uploaded a set of photos from the Ultimate Goal Challenge to facebook. It’ll take too much time and money to upload it again to this blog, so do check it out there :) http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=191274&id=567026643
